No matter how healthy the food is, if you microwave it in plastic, the chemicals in the plastic will release into the food, says Alicia Galvin, RD, the resident dietitian at Sovereign Laboratories.

Carb-heavy and deep-fried, it likely comes as little surprise that potato chips aren't exactly a health food, but the extent to which this popular food may  body just might surprise you.
